  • The Yonsei Business Research Institute was founded in 1958 as Industrial Management Research Center. The institute, which switched to its current name in 1993, was established to promote theoretical and empirical research in management, and to make recommendations for the economic development of critical Korean industries. YBRI conducts research projects on business management, sponsors academic activities, exchanges information with domestic and foreign research institutes, and conducts joint research on specific topics. It also publishes periodicals and other materials.
  • Research areas at the Yonsei Business Research Institute include accounting, financial management, SCM, media strategies, brand and business marketing, relationship marketing, knowledge science, East Asian management, and business ethics. In addition, the institute implements commissioned education programs for managers in business, and coordinates research groups that study cooperation between the academy and industry in the area of business administration. Annually, the institute awards various funds for publication of scholarly articles, and excellence in a given field of study. The institute conducts diverse research activities that advance the interests of both academic institutions and of the business world.
