If you are a student in at Yonsei School of Business, one place you have to know about is the Business Library located on the second floor of the business college building annex. This library is not large, but it has the advantage of being inside the business college, and because it displays all the various educational and specialized publications related to business administration and economics at the front

entrance area, there is no inconvenience of having to go You can get the necessary information and knowledge right away. But as book lending increases rapidly during exam time, it would be wise to get your hands on the books that you absolutely need early on. Another advantage of this library is the delight that comes from its open desks. If you felt stuffy in traditional reading rooms with their closely stacked partitions, and the seminar rooms with its wide desks were too noisy, the Business Library is the answer to your prayers. The scenery of Yonsei campus outside the window of the open desks will not only cool your head while studying but can provide an optimal study area where you can concentrate in tranquility. If you want private space and would prefer a reading room with partitions, you can use the School of Business Reading Room established on the third floor of the same building.

Is there a cleaner and better reading room? Is there a place where I could study quietly by myself? You can go to the Social Sciences Library, a great place which is very near the school of business and yet not well known. This library is located on the fourth floor of the Graduate School of Journalism & Mass Communication building (Billingsley Hall), which is situated between the School of Business building and Yeonhui Hall, to the left of the School

of Business building when looking straight at it. First of all, it is located on a hill, which separates it from a lot of the student chatter, and you can feel a unique quietness that only Billingsley Hall possesses. The Social Sciences Library was recently renovated and all its desks were replaced with brand new furniture, so in terms of facility, it should be one of the best. In front lawn of the Hall, there are wooden tables and benches, which make for a perfect resting spot. At the back of the Hall, the thick grove provides cool fresh air, which is another bonus about this place. It is not well known and do not have many users, so it is strongly recommended to those who want sequestered space.

In truth, it is not easy to find a place to study in school during exam time. The long lines at the central library from early morning on, as well as the jam-packed Business Library can wilt our will when we are finally about to do some studying. If you are looking for a quiet place during exam time, why not try making use of the empty lecture halls in Widang Hall?

Widang Hall is a College of Liberal Arts building, but once all the classes finish in the afternoon, the lecture rooms become empty. Not only that, but because it is located just to the left of Billingsley Hall, it is very approachable for business administration students. Because its lecture rooms are open until late at night during exam times, its advantage is that you can study without time constraints, but you have to keep in mind that after six, there are no good places to eat around there and, if you leave your place for a while, there is also the danger of your things getting stolen. On the other hand, if you order food from delivery services, you can solve both of these problems, so during exam times, active usage of these rooms in Widang Hall is highly encouraged. The beautiful view of the Yonsei campus from the Hall and the fresh smell of the grove that breezes in when you open the window are bonus!

"Daetgeori Hasaem" is a representative group meeting space situated in the first basement floor of the School of Business building. It is divided into "student-administered rooms" and the School of Business student council is managing it. There are a total of four small rooms that can accommodate groups of six to ten students. Because there are only a limited number of rooms compared to the large number of students, you need to reserve on the School of Business student councils homepage if you want to use the rooms. During the busy group meeting times, the rooms are frequently all occupied, but if you reserve two to

three days ahead, you can use them without much trouble. Also, they are often not busy in the mornings and evenings, so lets "daetgeori" at "Daetgeori Hasaem"!!

Although there are a fair number of passersby, behind the pillars of the lobby at the first floor of the School of Business building are many tables, which can become a great place to meet with colleagues and talk between classes. The seats are limited and not too many people can sit at once, but it looks like a great place to open up a laptop computer and have discussions with team members.

front lawn of Billingsley Hall has two large wooden tables. This space is great for group meetings. During the summer and winter times, it may be a bit difficult to actually have group meetings outside due to the weather, but during the spring and fall, you will be able to have get-togethers in an elegant outdoor setting under warm sunlight and pleasant breeze. If you add a pizza into that mix, teamwork will sizzle!

If your members are studying at the central library, you wouldn't want to have to come all the way up to the School of Business, would you? It would be nice to find a place for group meetings inside the central library. First, the seminar room located on the sixth floor of the library is a room built specifically for student discussions. Accordingly, it is a good environment to have group meetings, but when there are many teams gathered, it can become rather noisy. Also, on the second floor of the library are some tables placed side by side. If the group is small, this is not a bad place to hold meetings. Lastly, in the basement of the

building there is a store called "Soteulsaem," and along with drinks and snacks, it also provides many tables. Buying some snacks and collecting your groups opinions in the basement may be another good way to meet.

On the third floor of the College of Law building, there are study and seminar rooms. If you cannot find an appropriate place elsewhere, you can utilize this place. Because the Law building is adjacent to the central library, if you cannot find a good place at the library, you can go to the third floor of Gwangbok Hall (College of Law) and use its study rooms. There are a total of six rooms, and each room is separate, with blackboards and tables, a perfect space for group meetings. The only things is, because it is for Law students, you would want to show some restraint in not using the rooms for too long or leaving a mess afterwards. Gentle YSBians would, of course, never do such a thing!

In order to solve the inconvenience the past business students experienced with lunch, Sangroksaem, the basement cafeteria in the basement of the School of Business building, opened in 2007. It serves simple snacks such as pastries, bread, and drinks, as well as hearty meals. You can appease your hungry stomach between the lectures with flour-based meals such as broiled dish of sliced rice cake, udong, rice rolled in dried seaweed, and the main menu, which changes daily, such as rice topped with pork or beef slices, or western dishes including omelet with ketchup-seasoned fried rice

and deep-fried pork cutlet, will provide you with a full and happy stomach for the next class as you converse with your friends. The small cafeteria inside the cafeteria also serves various types of coffee made from fresh beans to clear your head in the morning, as well as bubble-teas, bagels and hotdogs.

The restaurant in the Sangnam Institute of Management building is mostly frequented by the students in the specialized business administration programs, and it has simple drinks and snacks as well as various meals on its menu.

In the days when Sangroksaem did not exist, Cheonggyeong Hall was the place for eating that most business administration students frequented. It has a wide space with sufficient number of seats to accommodate the students in the liberal arts, social sciences, and business administration. The specialties at Cheonggyeong Hall are the fresh oven baked gratin filled with cheese, the tomato or cream sauce spaghetti that, once you have tasted it, will make you come back even after you graduate,

and its unique sandwiches. Like Sangroksaem, there are also a small cafe and a store inside Cheonggeyon Hall that serve simple foods to students hungry and busily on the move, such as coffee and snacks.
At times the students order delivery food and have them in empty rooms or outside, at the back of the School of Business building or the front lawn of Billingsley Hall. There have been incidents where leftover food or the smell from decaying food has fouled the school campus environment, so if you are a clean Yonsei School of Business student, lets make sure to eat various healthy foods from within the campus and enjoy your university life to your hearts content. Fall into the sumptuous temptations in the School of Business ~

The trail that leads from the main School of Business building to Muak Dormitory is one of our schools hidden treasures. This trail, which is generally considered a road only for the students living in the dormitory, can become a pleasant walking path at times. In the summer its deep azure shades from trees give off fresh and clear fragrance that lifts up the spirit, and in the fall, its leaves become beautifully painted in elegant colors. In particular, once you go over the small hill, there is a narrow pedestrian-only trail that connects to the dormitory where the

rows of metasequoia trees provide a magnificent view. It sure would be great to walk through that metasequoia trail with someone you love, and pause a while to enjoy a graceful moment.

Today the sky is clearer than words could say,
And the verdure covering the land of our Yonsei
Seems cleaner, fresher, more vital than yesterday.

- Yi Yang-Ha, from "In Praise of Verdure" -

Cheongsongdae, known as the origin of the famous essay "In Praise of Verdure," is a clean and tidy park inside the school. This park is located within a minute walking distance from the

back lawn of the School of Business building annex, and it has various natural woods including pines, oaks, and maples, along with clusters of benches and elegantly placed streams and stone bridges that harmonize beautifully.
In the spring and early summer you can sometimes see lovers having picnic with their lunch baskets. Some people make time between classes to lie down on the benches. When you find it hard to study, how about grabbing an interesting book and come looking for a bench in Cheongsongdae?

The front lawn of the School of Business building is the closest resting place to the building and the most crowded. There are benches placed between the well-cultivated garden greenery, and it serves as a communing place for people without a place to rest. Because it is a place that business students can pass by several times a day, you can often run into friendly faces here. But because the place has no shades, on very clear days, the sunlight can sting a bit if you are out for long.

When you walk down along the right-side road of the main School of Business building, you can see Billingsley Hall on the rising slope of the hill. The benches and tables placed at the front lawn of this building used to be well-beloved by many students because, in the past, it was the perfect place to order delivery food and have meals outside. Recently, the security guards have been cracking down hard on such activities and so students rarely do this anymore, but the beauty of Billingsley Hall's front lawn still remains the

same. The pretty grove, the quiet and lonesome atmosphere of the lawn makes

The computer room located on the first basement floor of the main School of Business building has about 100 newest model computers and the fastest internet network. You can do various searches for materials and write reports here, and fast printing and scanning are possible as well. If you are a School of Business student, you can print up to 300 pages a term for free.

The photocopy room is located on the second floor of the main School of Business building, and it is equipped with the newest model photocopy machines. Regarding various papers and course related materials, you can buy materials that your professor has ordered or photocopy them directly at this place. You can also ask the photocopy staff to make copies for you, and you can print

using computers. This place is especially handy because it enables you to collect various materials into a single book, do bookbinding, put titles and captions for printing, and all other jobs dealing with printing without having to go outside the school.

There are lockers on the first floor and the first and second basement floors of the main School of Business building, and on the first basement floor of the annex. One locker is given to one student in principle, and anyone who is a student at the School of Business can use them.
